HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNEL – HUE –

DA NANG – HOI AN – HA NOI – HA LONG  

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival – Cu Chi Tunnel (L, D)

We pick you up at Tan Son Nhat Airport then transfer to hotel for check-in. Then we take a 2-hours driving to North West of Saigon to the Cu Chi Tunnel where the stronghold of Vietcong – Vietnamese Communists fought and lived there for years. Green fields and rubber plantations we pass along the way let you relax in a peaceful area. A short introductory documental film about Cu Chi Tunnel shows an extraordinary underground of Vietnam Army during the fight against US Troop with the length of 200 km. Then we visit many fighting bunkers, army spike traps and get inside the tunnel to discover how the local people used to live and fight against the war. Back to HCMC. Overnight in HCMC.  

Day 2: Full day Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L, D)

We will take a short walking to downtown along Dong Khoi Street - the main shopping street of Sai Gon to see City Hall, historical Rex Hotel, Opera House which was used as the Lower House of South Vietnamese Government. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral built in 1880 then Central Post Office. Visit Reunification Palace where two tanks attacked in 1975, War Remnant Museum with a good collection of photos about the American War, Hindu Temple, Ben Thanh Market, China Town and shopping.  

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Hue (B, L, D)

After breakfast, fly to Hue. Check in hotel. After lunch, take the boat trip on the Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda which was built in the 17 th century. Dinner. Overnight in Hue.  

Day 4: Hue City tour with Tomb, Citadel and drive to Hoi An (B, L, D)

Visit Khai Dinh Tomb. Lunch is served at local restaurant. Visit Imperial Citadel with forbidden-purpose City of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945). Then driving to Hoi An through Hai Van Pass. Arrive Hoi An late. Check in hotel and have dinner.  

Day 5: Hoi An walking tour (B, L, D)

Walking tour in the morning to visit Phuc Kien Assembly Hall- the nicest Chinese temple in Hoi an, ceramics museum, Hoi An old house, Japanese covered bridge and enjoy traditional music. Having lunch then free for shopping. Overnight in Hoi An. 

Day 6: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ha Noi – Ha Long (B, L, D)

After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport to fly to Hanoi. Visit the Temple of Literature. Lunch at restaurant. Depart for Halong. Dinner at restaurant. Check in hotel in Haloing. 

Day 7: Ha Long – Ha Noi (B, L, D)

Take the boat trip in the morning to explore UNESCO site - Ha Long bay where you can contemplate the natural caves and grottos then have lunch and relax on your private boat. Back to Hanoi. Check in hotel. Visit 36 Old Streets, Ngoc Son Temple, Sword Lake. After dinner, watch Water Puppet Show.  

Day 8: Ha Noi – Departure Flight (B)

Free at leisure until transfer Noi Bai Airport for departure flight.
